The Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at Augusta University seeks a full-time Lecturer of African American History for a one year position, for academic year 2021-22. Appointment to begin August 2, 2021. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. MA in History or African American Studies required, ABD or PhD preferred. The successful candidate will teach both halves of the US History survey course, and the course upper-level sequence in African American history. Standard duties for lecturers include teaching five courses per semester. Responsibilities include: Teaching courses as assigned; holding office hours, providing timely grading and student feedback; adhering to all academic policies of the University. Requirements

The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s).
