Join us on Monday January 30, 2023 when we welcome Winston James, Professor of History (UC Irvine) and James Cantres, Associate Professor in the Department of Africana, Puerto Rican, and Latino Studies (Hunter College), as they discuss James's new book, "Claude McKay: The Making of a Black Bolshevik (Columbia University Press, 2022). This lively discussion is the first in series ASWAD will be hosting this year, and will take us between the pages to learn more about this prolific poet, his influences, and his life experiences.
