As we approach the holiday season, it is not only a time for festivities and celebration but also a time for reflection and gratitude. One significant way to make a positive impact during this season is by participating in Giving Tuesday, a global movement that harnesses the collective power of generosity.

Giving Tuesday, which falls on November 28 serves as a reminder that amidst the hustle and bustle of our lives, there is immense value in giving back to our communities throughout the diaspora. The importance of Giving Tuesday lies not only in the act of giving itself but in the ripple effect it creates. When we give, we not only support our members, but we also inspire others to do the same. It cultivates a spirit of community and empathy, fostering a sense of unity that unites us across geographical boundaries.

What can five dollars do?
It can’t buy a sugar-free double shot latte...
It can’t fill your gas tank...
It can’t even buy a movie ticket...
But IT CAN be the start of something greater.

This year, we want to get a head start and support our members in the Global South. We are asking everyone to contribute at least $5 to help support their travel and accommodations for our 2025 conference.

Our goal is $10,000. We’ve done the math and we can achieve this if every member helps out.

We invite you to join us as we kick off this challenge on Giving Tuesday. Whether you choose to donate $5 as a member, a little more as a supporter, or a significant amount as an institution, or even spread awareness about this initiative by sharing posts on your social media channels your involvement makes a difference.
