Gissette Forte, serves as the Vice President of Finance and Administration and CFO at Queensborough Community College, overseeing the operational and capital budgets and leading human resources, bursar's office, environmental health and safety office, operations and facilities, continuing education, and public safety. During her time at Brooklyn College, Dr. Forte managed the institution's financial resources and empowered the College to make informed fiscal decisions. Her prior experience includes serving as the Business Affairs Director and Controller at Borough of Manhattan Community College for the SUNY Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center, and Finance/Operations Manager at Hostos Community College. She began her career with CUNY in 2008 at Hostos Community College, as Operations Manager in the Division of Administration and Finance. Since the, she has held various positions at Hostos and at other CUNY schools. Her project management experience includes the coordination and implementation of enterprise resource planning systems, the development of special projects and continuous organization improvement / change management in higher education institutions. For more than a decade, Dr. Forte has served as an adjunct professor at Metropolitan College of New York, teaching courses in finance, business, and management for the college's MBA program. Dr. Forte earned her doctorate in Education with an emphasis on Educational Leadership from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, a master's in Management and Leadership from the CUNY Graduate Center - CUNY School of Professional Studies, and a master's in Finance from Baruch College. She is also pursuing a second doctoral degree in Business Administration at Baruch College.
