Atlantic Archives is seeking consultation towards obtaining Q Visa for cultural exchange.  We are looking for legal consultants and administrators with experience with program-related criteria for USCIS approval of cultural exchange programs.

Our exchange program, The Lelia Gonzalez Fellowship (LGF) is a dynamic global engagement program for Black women and gender-expansive people in Brazil, addressing the imbalance of knowledge production, cultural exchange, and leadership development between the global North and South.

The program equips talented Afro Brazilians from marginalized backgrounds with the expertise, skills, and resources to engage in international, multi-sector dialogues.

The fellowship lasts six months, enabling participants to harness the power of emergent transnational networks. Specifically, fellows will engage in issues related to women and gender, LGBTQIA+, education, citizenship, health,  cultural preservation, and international policy.

LGF Activities:

  • Three-week “Community Ambassadorship” in the U.S.
  • Fellows meet with diverse  university classrooms, community groups, nonprofits, civic institutions, and other organizations
  • Work with the various groups to co-facilitate community-based dialogues in the form of lectures, round tables, teach-ins, and art exhibitions.

Attached is a a detailed program description. Feel free to share.
